Sing Us A Song was impressive at Sandown before a poor start at Royal Ascot denied him a chance of his true running. If that isn’t an issue today, he would be a threat. Omni Man encountered trouble at Royal Ascot and could’ve also done better. He’ll have no qualms with the distance and can improve. Kurakka won pretty well at Haydock and ran creditably at Newmarket, over two furlongs less. He can definitely do better and he gets the nod today.

Roger Varian will likely have has this race in mind for Jabaara for quite some time. A runner-up in the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes last season, she went on to finish first past the post in this contest last year, only to be demoted to second due to interference, and compensation may await if she settle better than when only fifth in the Listed Queen Charlotte Fillies' Stakes on the all-weather at Chelmsford last time out. Dangers look likely to come in the shape of Tabiti, who should come on from her reappearance third-place finish in the Sandringham Stakes at Royal Ascot, and Romantic Style, who would be interesting on the form she showed when beating two Group 1 winners in the 2024 Prix Imprudence.

Plenty of speedy 5f types should be on show here with Ameeq, Sands Of Spain and Dickensian potentially trying to lead this out. Military Code got back on track last time down to 5f again with a bit more restraint.
Lady Iman sets a conundrum as favourite inasmuch she bypassed the 5f option at Ascot having already won over 6f. She travelled well on her next start over 6f but was ultimately beaten. Lady Iman has shown plenty of speed and Ryan Moore can hopefully keep tabs on those up front to pounce late on with those stamina reserves kicking in on on ground that may compromise the trailblazers.
LADY IMAN (WIN)

The Group 1 Sussex Stakes only has a field of 7 which ruins each way plays against the very short Field Of Gold. He is by far the most likely winner and the class act in the field, Qirat has been supplemented as a pacemaker to ensure a strong gallop.
It is the first time he has faced the older Horses and Rosallion will be an unknown however he has just fallen short this season and would need to step up to figure here.
In my opinion the most likely runner up is Henri Matisse, he was best of the rest in the St James Palace and a repeat of that will see him finish runner up to Field of Gold once again.

This Fillies Handicap presents many interesting contenders. Patagonia Girl posted some excellent victories at Chester twice this season and another at Salisbury over this distance. Hugo Palmers filly bred by both Australia and Camelot the dam sire is a large price in an open field. Sam Hitchcott will partner the filly and a bold show is predicted. Model Yuko won last time out at Wolverhampton, the Al Kazeem filly won under todays jockey Silvestre De Sousa and Roger Varian will step her up another two furlongs for this contest. Another to note is Music Piece. Her effort finishing eighth last time at Ascot should be dismissed following solid places this season twice. The Camelot filly trained by Andrew Balding will like the distance and right handed track and is a player under Oisin Murphy. In a wide open affair I like the chances of those at bigger prices.

It looked like the penny dropped for Desert Jungle at Catterick, especially with the addition of a hood. She could improve. Zelaina is the highest rated in this field and she was bang there for a while in the Queen Mary. She looks fast sort and can’t be discounted. Luna Mia was unlucky at Listowel and wasn’t far behind Beautify and Lady Iman at the Curragh. Her trainer likes Goodwood, and this race looks nailed on for her.
LUNA MIA (WIN)

A strong hand for Wathnan Racing in this very open contest, top weight Native Warrior got back to winning ways last time and although carrying top weight today is only up 3lb for that success and is entitled to be competitive again, may be the owners best chance. Cracking Gold was also a winner last time out and is also up 3lb, his form can be up and down so he does carry risks. Crimson Spirt is up another 6lb for landing the hat trick at Epsom, could still be on a competitive mark. Glenfinnian has lost its way completely but now sits 5lb lower than it's last winning mark, first run after a wind operation may just work the oracle. Leadman represents the shrewd David O Meara outfit and William Buick takes over, always better on a sound surface so any rain will be a huge negative. Signcastle City has plenty of solid place form and when Jamie Spencer rides for owner Fitri Hay at a big meeting then they often go very close, hard to find many negatives about this grey.
