TV TIPS (SATURDAY)

With nine races shown live on ITV this Saturday we preview every single one from Ascot, Newmarket and Redcar. 13:15 ASCOT

It's great to see the unbeaten Love Dynasty finally return to action after nearly a year out of action but it's hard to gauge where they'll be after such a long absence.

Top-weight Bright Thunder has gone close in group company and a drop to listed level should see her fair better. Has some of the best form in the book and will handle the wet conditions. If the seven races this term hasn't taken too much out of her she'll be capable of adding another victory to her tally.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, bottom of the racecard and lightly raced Nardra could go well. She has a win on softer ground and hails from a top yard. With not many miles on the clock she could be fresher than her opposition.

13:30 NEWMARKET

Morrophore was thought good enough to enter a Group 3 race last time but was withdrawn before the off. A solid victor at Ascot last time out and looks to be the up and coming force. The only concerns would be her 147 day stint on the sidelines and with the rain pouring down the ground might not suit.

If you're looking for runners who could do far better than their current odds suggest, Chic Colombine and Our Golden One might sneak into the money.

MORROPHORE (WIN)

13:50 ASCOT

After an impressive win in the Ayr Silver Cup Candy takes a step up to listed level and deserves a crack in this company. Clearly a horse on the up but without a weight difference looks likely to find one or two too good.

Another convincing winner at the same Ayr meeting was Beautiful Diamond who claimed a clear victory in a listed contest. Karl Burke's runner has been raced lightly this term and should have more in the tank.

An alternative option could be former course and distance winner Cover Up who has a great record here at Ascot and is capable of finishing in the top three.

BEAUTIFUL DIAMOND (WIN)

COVER UP (E/W)

14:05 NEWMARKET

Perhaps a tad foolish but it's really hard too look elsewhere other than the four-time consecutive winner Half Sovereign. With a weight for sex allowance also on her side she's the one to beat.

Despite still being a maiden after three career starts Court Alert could be the option for punters looking for an each-way option. Second in a similar race here last time out and a repeat of that effort could see him finish close once more.

HALF SOVEREIGN (WIN)

14:25 ASCOT

Despite being at the ripe old age of nine Hamish has shown he's not slowed down too much having won his last three starts. At the age of nine he has to be handled carefully but he's more than capable however it's likely he'll find one or two too good here at Ascot.

Former course and distance winner Al Qareem finish a fair third in a Group 1 race last time and a repeat of that effort should be enough to come out on top in this.

The most likely to finish behind the selection is fellow course and distance victor and five-time consecutive winning seeker Tenability who's on an upward trajectory.

AL QAREEM (WIN)

14:40 NEWMARKET

According to the bookmakers it looks to be a match race between Cinderella's Dream and Fallen Angel and of the duo it's Karl Burke's charge who should come out on top but there's another pair that could be overlooked.

Blue Bolt wasn't far behind Lady Of Spain in a Group 3 race last time and I'd fancy her to reverse that form but needs to step up now at this level.

The one that catches the eye is Irish raider Atsila. She finished less than two lengths behind Fallen Angel last time out and arguably if the race was a tad longer could've finished closer. If the predicted rain falls it'll play into her hands and she might be able to spring a shock.

FALLEN ANGEL (WIN)

ATSILA (E/W)

15:00 ASCOT

Former race winner Annaf aims to regain their title after claiming the race back in 2023. He's not been at his best this year but it'd be foolish to discredit him because, at his best, he'd demolish this field.

Fellow race winner (2024) Apollo One showed a return to form when second at Doncaster last time out and looks capable of going close once more.

Although the aforementioned pair couldn't be discounted, it's three-year-old filly Celandine who gets the nod. She may have finished ninth last time, but that came in a top-class Group 1 contest, and she finished third best of the horses drawn with a double-figure stall. Now dropping in class, she could be seen to better effect.

CELANDINE (E/W)

15:20 REDCAR

The two-year-olds take centre stage at Redcar this Saturday, and Song Of The Clyde and Ardisia meet once again after filling the first and third spots at York in August. The pair should go very near once more, and I doubt the form will be reversed.

That being said it's Kevin Ryan's Isle Of Fernandez who we're siding with. A winner on soft ground and a credible third in a Group 3 last time, now dropping in grade, he can go even better.

ISLE OF FERNANDEZ (E/W)

15:35 ASCOT

It wouldn't be a crazy notion to see Rahmi, Carrytheonee , or Two Tribes go well, but unfortunately, the handicapper might have them in their grasp, and their weight burden should be enough to see them finish behind at least a few of these. Could make the frame, but none of the trio looks likely to win.

Course and distance victor Native Warrior won well here last month and is capable of repeating that performance, but an 8lb rise in weight is certainly going to make it a tougher test. I couldn't put anyone off backing the four-year-old, but with so many runners in the lineup, it seems a better option to hunt for some each-way value.

Fellow four-year-olds Purosangue and Apiarist look alternatives at much bigger odds.

Purosangue has won a listed contest and placed at Group 3 level. On his day he's more than able, and a return to form at Ayr last time out showed he could be primed for a big run.

Apiarist attracted plenty of support in the betting when last seen but failed to deliver. He's only won once on turf, but that came on soft ground so if the rain gets into the surface at Ascot his chances will only improve.
