ITV's Sunday Series returns and pundit Kieran McHugh previews every live race from the afternoon's action. 15:45 HAYDOCK
Penelope’s Sister has finished in the top three, on her last four races, two of those at this distance. She won at Ayr and wasn’t far away, when last seen. She’s in with a chance. Titian won at York, over this distance and he can probably do better. Big Sip makes his stable debut and looks well treated on the weights. He should improve for the extra furlong and could make his debut a winning one.
BIG SIP (WIN)
16:00 LEICESTER
A tricky race for which you can make a case for the whole field. Boiling Over was unlucky not to win at Doncaster and he’s got good form. Maybe he could want it a bit softer. Halla Bil Zain ran green when placing third here in June. He could improve for the added cheekpieces. Half Sovereign has won both his races over seven furlongs and has a nice opening mark. If taking to the firmer ground, he could make it three.
HALF SOVEREIGN (WIN)

Jan Steen wasn’t disgraced at York before finishing down the field at York. He could be better, now back at six furlongs. Better And Better was probably too free at Ascot. He won at Hamilton over six and this is more his remit. Vlad won at Windsor; after being Gelded and he was giving weight away that day. He could go a step further today.
VLAD (WIN)
16:30 LEICESTER
Another competitive race. Bizou was good on his All-Weather debut but maybe just needs another watch today. Hilltop has been improving, and she won’t feel the effects of her victory on Monday. She could double up. Hostelry has won five times this year and also goes unpunished for a victory on Monday. Kaiya Fraser rode him in all five victories and could make it six today.
HOSTELRY (WIN)

Pretty Danielle is the choice on the form and was pretty good at Windsor, when she could’ve gone closer if not running green. Authentic Charm is related to a Haydock Sprint Cup winner and connections have to be considered with their newcomers. The vote goes for No Direction. Karl Burke is prolific with his newcomers, and this colt is bred for six furlongs. He could be tough to beat.
NO DIRECTION (WIN)
17:00 LEICESTER
Far Above The Law ran with credit at York and maybe didn’t get the run of things at Chester, he could look to win again. Lord Roxby is a nice sort, and he only just got caught here in July, over seven furlongs. He’s a danger back down to six. The vote must go to American Style. He’s been in much tougher company than this and has taken the silver medal many times this season. He should go one better today.
AMERICAN STYLE (WIN)

A tricky race with Acrisius looking to build on an impressive victory at Chester. He’s up 7lbs for that effort but he’s still a danger. Curious Rover is a course and distance winner and arrives here in good form. This is harder but he can’t be discounted. Classy Al can be a hard ride, but Paul Mulrennan knows him and if he turns up, he can be a danger.
CLASSY AL (E/W)

Lorna B has won three of her five races, all of those victories coming over six furlongs. She’s interesting back up to seven. Mereside Diva had no luck at York and has won here before. She’s a threat. Bint Mohaather has only raced three times, with her sole victory coming over seven furlongs, at Wolverhampton. She could improve now back at seven and handicapping.
BINT MOHAATHER (WIN)

Wolfpack won at Thirsk, whilst hanging right and could’ve won that by further. He’s been gelded since and could be open to improvement. Leadenhall won on his sole visit to Haydock and he’s gone close numerous times since. He has a good chance. Bajan Bandit wasn’t far away in a better race here, a few days ago. He acts on the ground and Warren Fentiman’s claim could be handy. He might be overpriced.
BAJAN BANDIT (E/W)

Letsbefrank was a close second in this race last year, off 3lbs higher. Connections have to be respected and he’s probably ‘best of the rest.’ String Of Pearls has won two of her three handicaps for Sir Mark Prescott and she’s a major player. However, it’s the other three-year-old which gets the verdict. Belgravian has also won two of his three handicaps and has won over this distance. The nature of that victory suggests that there is more in the locker.
BELGRAVIAN (WIN) written by Kieran McHugh
