More weekend action on ITV this Sunday as the cameras return to Windsor whilst also taking in additional races at Fakenham and over in Ireland from Thurles. 13:20 WINDSOR
Salver, Doyen Quest and Laurens Bay renew their rivalry after filling the top three spots in a Grade 2 contest in December. Of the trio Salver has raced again since when being stepped up in grade and finishing in a moderate fourth. Gary Moore's runner will appreciate a drop in grade and looks capable of going well once again.
Based on the current odds (at the time of writing) Wade Out looks drastically overpriced. He's needed plenty of rousting along in his last two outings but he still came out on top on both occasions. Capable of finishing in the top two so a tentative each way bet looks a safer option.

13:50 WINDSOR
Hardy Du Seuil is an interesting runner now returning to the larger obstacles. Having gone well in graded company he's clearly capable at this level and now resides off an attractive mark and represents a yard who are in top form.
The consistent Highlands Legacy is more than capable and looks to pose a serious threat.

14:05 FAKENHAM
At the bottom of the card both Apples Moon and Princess Keri are hunting their third victories in a row but the pair take a significant step up in grade and although this doesn't look the strongest race depth wise they'll both need to show further improvement, especially as they'll be carrying more weight.
Previous winner of this race Mermaids Cave aims to take the race again but as with the aforementioned pair they've got a tough task at the weights.
Miss Cynthia returned from a long break and was poor when last seen. At her best she's competed at a much higher grade and if her recent run has blown away the cobwebs a better run looks likely.
The relatively lightly raced Audacious Annie showed she still has ability when claiming a second two starts back. A drop back in grade should be of benefit as she aims to go close once more.

14:15 THURLES
A boring selection we know but where can you look other than a Jade De Grugy victory? Has done very little wrong and looks well above her opposition in what looks a pretty weak Grade 2 event.
If you were forced to look for a horse to follow home the market leader then a chance would be taken on former course winner Cottesloe Sunshine who hails from a powerhouse stable.
JADE DE GRUGY (WIN)
14:25 WINDSOR
Lord Snootie returned from a lengthy absence but failed to deliver over a trip that seemed less than adequate. Now with a recent run under his belt and stepping up to three miles a better showing can be expected.
Captain Teague is a former Grade 1 winner who could convert his hurdles form to chasing so a return hurdling is an interesting move and could go well at decent odds despite the 415 day absence.
Another obvious challenger seems to be Royal Rambler who showed an improved effort to claim second when last seen.

LORD SNOOTIE (E/W)
14:40 FAKENHAM
Top-weight Sainte Doctor will be well fancied after what was a decent season during the 2024 to 2025 campaign. A course and distance winner who demands plenty of respect but a sizable absence since her last race is a concern.
It's fellow course and distance winner Gazette Bourgeoise who gets the nod after a demolition job when winning her most recent contest. She finished a whopping 21 lengths ahead of the field and despite having more weight to carry this time round should go close again.
It's Easy is another worth considering.
GAZETTE BOUREOISE (E/W)
15:00 WINDSOR
Despite being a short priced favourite and well into the veteran years of his career Protektorat has a weight advantage over his younger opposition and that could be a markedly telling factor. A former course and distance winner who will appreciate a drop in grade and looks hard to beat.
Fellow course winner Matata looks the best of his opponents.
PROTEKTORAT (WIN)
15:20 THURLES
It's a safe assumption that trainer Willie Mullins will saddle the winner of this race but training 80$ of the entire field probably gives him a major advantage. Appreciate It won this race last term and despite being 12 years of age showed he had something left in the tank when a credible second last time out.
Stablemate Gentleman De Mee has also claimed a previous success here at Thurles and looks the most likely to throw down a challenge.

15:35 WINDSOR
With 17 runners set to go to post it's worth hunting for horses who could offer a degree of value and we're siding with two runners who've met previously. Yes Day's last victory came off a higher mark when winning over a marathon trip. He finished ahead of Planned Paradise who took victory in this race last year and returns off a 7lb lower mark. The pair showed improvement when both finishing third last time out and look primed for a solid run in what looks a markedly open contest.
Neo King can go well at a generous price, top-weight Holokea is a consistent type and the hattrick seeking Special John looks to be a horse on the up.
