TV TIPS (WEDNESDAY)

All four live races from 'Flat HQ' Newmarket this Wednesday as the ITV camera's broadcast live mid-week racing. 13:50 NEWMARKET Divine Libra has winning form fresh and, although unable to get his head in front last season, showed clear ability—most notably at Royal Ascot. With William Buick booked, he looks attractively priced and capable of a big run. Diligently is another worth considering. The Clive Cox-trained runner was consistent throughout last year and shaped well on his seasonal return, suggesting he could be competitive again. Zoulou Chief could offer value, while previous course and distance winners Invictus Gold and Double Rush are both respected. DIVINE LIBRA (E/W) DILIGENTLY (E/W)

14:25 NEWMARKET Isaac Newton’s form took a slight knock following Pierre Bonnard’s defeat at Leopardstown, and with just one win from four juvenile starts, he looks vulnerable. Morshdi and Wareeth, both representing Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum, arrive off wins and look the most immediate threats. Wareeth, in particular, impressed on debut and may have a fitness edge. However, Godolphin and Charlie Appleby have an excellent record at this meeting, and Poseidon’s Warrior made a striking impression when scoring by five lengths last time. He sets the standard and looks the one to beat. POSEIDON’S WARRIOR (WIN)

15:00 NEWMARKET Boiling Point underperformed in the Winter Derby, but in a tightly packed finish, that effort is better than it first appears and he shouldn’t be dismissed lightly. Damysus, however, looks the standout. A dual winner on his last two starts, including a Group 3 success over this course and distance, the progressive four-year-old appears well placed to add another Group victory. King’s Gambit and Persica are others to consider. DAMYSUS (WIN)

15:35 NEWMARKET This may revolve around a select group, with four runners standing out on paper. Course and distance winners Act Of Kindness and Mubhasimah both bring strong credentials, with the latter finishing a close second in a Group contest last time. Inis Mor has shown she can compete at a high level after a strong effort in France, while the unbeaten Asmeralda represents powerful connections and has the assistance of Oisin Murphy. Preference is for Mubhasimah, who represents a yard who claimed two victories here yesterday and looks set to go close again. MUBHASIMAH (E/W) written by Rory Paddock
