BEST OF THE REST (SATURDAY)

We turn our attention to racing away from Saturday's live ITV races and instead pinpoint a handful of runners worth following to kick start the weekend. 14:30 BATH
Symbol Of Hope is a former course and distance winner who reunited with his former stable and produced an encouraging third-placed effort. Now returning to a venue where he has enjoyed plenty of success and racing from a very attractive mark, he looks too good to ignore.
Fellow course and distance winners Sisters In The Sky and Darkened Edge both look capable and are generously priced, while the consistent former course winner Legendsoftheland appears likely to go close once again.

16:37 CHESTER
Action Pact claimed third place on his sole course and distance start before going on to record victory next time out. He returned to action last month with a fair fourth-placed effort that he can build upon, with further improvement likely now he has blown away the cobwebs.
Heathen is another worth considering as a consistent performer who should be thereabouts, and the same can be said for Andrew Balding’s Solar Pass, who has gone close on each of his last two outings.

17:25 YORK
Lethal Nymph may be better suited by a shorter trip, but his course record still gives him a viable chance here at York. He’s capable of going close and looks overpriced.
Kats Bob landed this contest back in 2025 and returns from a lower mark. With the same jockey booked once again, he has plenty in his favour to suggest he can mount another bold bid.
The likely dangers appear to be current market leader Manila Scousee, along with former course and distance winners Lord Roxby and Bergerac.
