RACE DAY INTERNATIONAL: PRIX JACQUES LE MAROIS

14:50 DEAUVILLE

More Thunder was campaigned over as far as 10f for Sir Michael Stoute but it wasn’t until he switched stables to William Haggas he was dropped back to 6f and his true colours began to shine. He seems to relish a strong pace, running through the field to dominate late on. On occasion he can look an unlucky loser but he needs everything to fall right in top class company and it’s not often that happens.

Precise has been put in her place the last twice by Blue Bolt although she receives a fair bit of weight from the boys & elders here. Ryan Moore aboard and she is drawn low which is likely a benefit I think she will be on the premises but not quite have enough to win.

Zeus Olympios beat More Thunder last time but had finished behind him the last twice, they are similarly capable but Zeus Olympios may well get the better set up again today.

Finally Rayif, Graffard has been in exceptional form the last few seasons winning most of the Group 1s here in France. I think he can bounce back from his below par performance in the Jean Prat back up to a mile here. The draw is not ideal but he should get cover and it wouldn’t suprise me if Barzalona tried to challenge closer to the rail.

RAYIF (WIN)
