SILENCE TO STUN

14:10 York

Tricky Group 2 event for fillies and mares over a mile and a quarter.

Queen Power is a consistent mare at this level and very rarely runs a bad race.

She does however seems to find it difficult to get her head in front, which is a little off putting, particularly when she has had conditions in her favour.

I personally think her best chance of winning would be a positive ride from the front. She has a chance of doing that unless Freyja decides to take her on.

Passion is arguably the classiest in the race,

and the might be enough to get her home. But there’s no doubting she’d be better over further, she has won over a stiff mile and six at Naas after all.

Chamade and Cabaletta showed decent ability last season and they could run well for their in form yards. The former needs to up her game and the Varian runner possibly needs a bit further.

The selection is Silence Please. She was a progressive filly last term. A fourth in the German Oaks followed by a very good run when second in a Group 3 over a trip that may have stretched her stamina.

It’s highly likely she has her perfect conditions here, unlike some of the opposition. The connections have kept her in training and they obviously feel she could be improving with age.

Silence Please is taken to silence her rivals.
