Matterhorn has the class for this race but he has to shoulder top weight and that combined with being upped in trip today, would be a concern. Heltenham has won many times over this distance and was impressive when scoring at Perth on his last start. He’s been raised 8lbs by the handicapper for that effort and he might just prefer the ground to be a tad softer. Nonetheless, he is the main danger to the selection. The selection being Bhaloo. He has a nice weight and will enjoy the good ground. He is in good form currently and so are his connections. He ticks a lot of boxes.
BHALOO (WIN)

Junior Des Bordes showed promise on his two starts in Britain, especially his Kempton third to Jupiter Allen and Spirit d’Aunou. However, they were nearly three years ago. He is best left watched today. Man Of The Sea carries top weight, but Harriet Tucker takes 7lbs off. He is not without a chance but maybe he could prefer the further distances. So, the selection is Anthony Charlton’s Dirty Den. A winner last time out and he has been raised 5lbs for that effort. That is negated by Callum Pritchard’s claim, and he holds every claim to make it two in a row.
