SUNDAY SELECTIONS

15:00- Doncaster

Alfa Patisserie should’ve probably shaped better than fifth on her debut but a combination of a bad start and running green meant that she finished seven lengths down. She can do better, but connections are not in good form. Homestrait has a hat-trick of second placed finishes so you wouldn’t begrudge her going one further and she certainly has the experience. But again, connections are not going well. Conversely, George Boughey is in fine form and Artanjs is very well bred. She should relish the trip, like her relations and she’ll be hard to beat.

ARTANIS (WIN)

17:00- Salisbury

Holder was desperately unlucky not to win last time out, and he could go close again, now back on turf. Bell Shot held off all-comers in a similar event at Beverley and like Holder, you wouldn’t write him out of this contest. Crimson Spirit came from a long way back to round off the podium at York, off the back of two good efforts at Epsom. They were more competitive races and he should do the business today under Richard Kingscote.
