Kieran McHugh gives his weekly thoughts on Sunday’s action and picks out his best bets of the day.
14:30 CURRAGH
Chally Chute was unlcuky in the Irish Cesarewitch and will certainly be a factor if she can repeat that performance. Enfranchise was narrowly denied in Germany, over this distance, so commands respect. A three pounds swing in her favour against some of the princples aids her claim. Uxmal won the Queen Alexandra at Royal Ascot and maybe shouldve done a tad better against Al Riffa in the Curragh Cup. He'll stay all day and has the form to win this.
UXMAL (WIN)
14:37 CARISLE
Resplendent Grey was pretty good over this distacnce at Cheltenham last year. He's a winner over a mile further but you can't write him off. Hollygrove Cha Cha won a Grade Two over hurdles before a no-show at Cheltenham. She makes her debut over fences today and maybe a lighter weight could help her. Handstands is a Grade One winner and has beaten Resplendent Grey before. He may have top weight but if he is back in business, he'll be very hard to beat.
HANDSTANDS(WIN)
