SUNDAY SELECTIONS

Kieran McHugh gives his best bets of the day this Sunday.

16:20 CURRAGH

The first big competitive flat race of the year, the Irish Lincoln. Orandi won this race last year and arrives here six pounds heavier. That is not too steep, and Ryan Moore is an interesting booking. Whip Cracker has hit the post a few times in big handicaps and champion jockey Oisin Murphy has come across to ride. Richard Hughes is in flying form, and he charge stands a good chance. Pink Oxalis won a big handicap at Leopardstown and has won over the straight mile at the Curragh before. Jack Kearney takes three pounds off and he could go well.

WHIP CRACKER (WIN)

PINK OXALIS (E/W)

16:30 CHEPSTOW

A select but intriguing field. Falco Des Pins has been running very well of late, winning two of his last three. Maybe this could arrive a tad too soon for him, however. Blacksamssenorita pulled up last time but might enjoy this reduced distance today. He has not raced too much this year and could still go well. Milan Tino was a former Fred Winter contender and probably has not kicked on as he could have done. His performance at Leicester was encouraging and he will like the conditions today.

MILAN TINO (WIN)
