Kieran McHugh previews two of the love ITV races from Thirsk this Sunday as he aims to bash the bookies and find some winners.
16:45 THIRSK
A competitive handicap. Montezuma fluffed his lines on his latest start but has more going in his favour today. A drop back in trip will suit but the 8lbs rise could be too stiff. American Bay wears cheekpieces for the first time and arrives here in good form. He is a course and stance winner and could go well again today. Kinetic Force won here last time out and has a 4lbs rise is not too steep, especially with a favourable draw.
KINETIC FORCE (WIN)
AMERICAN BAY (E/W)
17:45 THIRSK
Dark Thirty won last time out but that was his first promising performance in a while, so it does not inspire confidence that he can double up today, especially off this mark. Yes I’m Mali is a danger for top course trainer David O’Meara and is going well of late, there is potential that this could be stiff upped in class. The vote goes to Fandom. He was not beaten far at York when third at large odds, he has a nice mark and will want the ground to ride fast – given his exploits in America. A good showing here could put him on track for the Wokingham at Royal Ascot.
