TODAY'S TIPS (MONDAY)

Matt Polley picks out two runners not to ignore to kick start the week. 14:15 CATTERICK 

Most of these can be given a chance, notably Mariner who is good form, but the trip is a slight question mark, and course regular Stellarmasterpiece, who rarely runs bad here.

Austrian Theory is the selection here, purely because he’s undeniably well handicapped. This represents a drop in class, and this is a great opportunity for him.

A few potential improvers lurking in this nursery and Greek Street is certainly one of them. He has a nice draw which is important around this track, and should go well.

Sea Palace has already shown he has enough ability to win a race of this nature, but he is overlooked in favour of Rex Regum.

He was sent off fav for his debut at Windsor, but hasn’t had the easiest of draws at that track. His debut handicap mark looks more than fair.
