The opening nursery at Leicester looks like an interesting affair. It could prove worth taking a chance on handicap newcomer Le Grande Etoile, who now steps up in trip after finishing fifth over an inadequate distance at Hamilton in June. An opening mark of 51 is definitely workable and with the step up in distance to suit on his first outing after a gelding operation, he looks reasonably priced in an open event.
