Sara's Silver Girl is one that holds the best form to date when staying on at Ayr last time, gave the impression she would improve for a step up in trip but staying at the same trip this time over a sharper track could find this filly out. Havana Court is improving and looked like a sharp 7f would be right up his street and will be my selection here. One who could run well at a price for place money would be the unraced Missouri Waltz, bred to appreciate this quick ground and the yard know how to ready one first time up.

Beginners chases often go to those at the head of the market which here will probably be Sky Lord who rated 126 has found a great opportunity to get off the mark over fences. Jet Setting Jim is rated 128 although but has struggled over fences so far and interestingly stable jockey Cian Quirke is riding Killeemore Lad who is coming from a huge layoff, if he was ready for this though it wouldn't be a suprise to see him go close.

King's Merchant and Ideal Guest both come here on the back of wins in what doesn't look to the most competitive renewal but their previous form doesn't suggest they're the types to go back to back and look worth taking on. Patontheback has dropped to a very attractive mark now, if he can run to the form shown at Catterick at the start of the season he should be going close here. 

PATONTHEBACK (E/W)

This doesn't look the best Maiden Hurdle on paper and therefore makes it a very winnable contest. Penzance and Ernest Belief look the ones on ratings but both have looked one paced and therefore beatable. Lucky Diamond may be one worth taking a chance on, his bumper form was decent, has looked a difficult ride so far in the jumping department but after a completion last time when given time to be educated, should have learnt plenty and could suprise a few here.

A wide open maiden where Man's Best Friend is likely to go off well supported here for connections, made a pleasing debut and looks the pick of those who've ran so far. New Bond Street would be another that looks to have a chance but the draw could be a major negative here. Two newcomers here I like are Ile De France, dam was a classy sprinter being a dual Group 1 winner and the Sire was a brilliant Breeders Cup Winner, the yards runners often need their first run but this pedigree is too good to ignore for each way purposes. Zoar is another I like for a shrewd operation, bred to be a speedy two year old, this is one that could go under the radar.
