Old Park Star made a winning hurdling debut at Kempton on his first start for Nicky Henderson, likely favourite here but the fact he failed to win a bumper in three attempts for Paul Nicholls tempers enthusiasm. Kingston Queen was a listed winner In bumpers before taking another step forward and finishing third in Aintrees Grade 2 bumper, made a nice winning hurdling debut at Chepstow but missed an engagement two weeks ago due to a temperature. Mullaghgloss won smartly at Thurles last time backing up it's second on hurdling debut behind one who's since backed it up under a penalty. Won a bumper also which means this Irish raider has strong each way claims.

Whatsgoingonmarvin is a smart handicapper on the flat up to 1mile 6f meaning the trip over hurdles shouldn't be any concern, dangerous. Ashdown Forest has gone right up to 2mile 2f on the flat and being by Camelot the trip and jumping shouldn't be of any concern, capable of showing more over hurdles than on the flat. Knighton made an impressive debut when second at Ripon, showed greeness but travelled pretty smoothly throughout, beaten by a smart 90 rated future listed race runner. The two behind had both been second in France on the flat which makes it pretty strong form.
