TODAYS TIPS (FRIDAY)

Pundit Liam Hall takes a look at Friday's racing from Ascot and Warwick as he pinpoints three horses he expects to go well to round off the working week.

16:30 WARWICK

Three runner hunter chase where Great Valley, winner of his last six should make it seven in a row here. Won impressively under this rider last time beating a smart horse of Dan Skeltons. Frangiane chased home Cheltenham and Aintree festival winner Barton Snow last time, hasn't been seen sinced and this may be a pipe opener for the hunter chase at Cheltenham in May, should give On Lovers Walk a race for second

GREAT VALLEY (WIN)

16:55 ASCOT

So Regal is out of a Group 1 winning miler who was at her best on fast ground so conditions will suit. Ryan Moore won on this filly last time out and keeps the partnership this time so looks hard to take on. Crownright stayed on nicely on debut, should be much stronger as a three year old and could hit the frame with Lyrics Of Life completing the trifecta and solidify the form in the book with So Regal.

SO REGAL (WIN)

19:25 WARWICK

A gruelling test of stamina is in show here ahead of the 4 mile race at Cheltenhams May meeting. Jeffreys Cross was runner up in that race 12 months ago and should relish a return to this sort of extreme trip. My Gift To You was a winner under rules over 3 mile 3f and 3 mile 4f looked too sharp for him these days in his recent point to point second (two ran) may find some untapped potential stepped up. Peaches And Cream was a winner over 3 mile 7f at the Punchestown Festival in 2022 but lost its way, was a well beaten seventh in the cross country at Cheltenham in January, disappointing in a point last time. Slipway won the Highland National at Perth in 2022, won a novice hurdle just over 12 months ago showing the ability still exists. Won a point to point last time out and looks ready for this sort of test again.

SLIPWAY (WIN)
