TODAYS TIPS (FRIDAY)

Rory goes through a plethora of cards this Friday and ends up with nine selections he's backing this afternoon. 14:25 NEWBURY

Lady Of The Isles makes her handicap debut after going close when fourth at Windsor in her last outing. With Rossa Ryan booked for the ride and hailing from an in-form yard she can go close once again.

Earthwatch looks the clearest threat having a string of consistent performances despite still holding their maiden tag.

LADY OF THE ISLES (E/W)

16:45 NEWBURY

Orchard Keeper won last time out and aims to claim back-to-back victories here. She's upped in grade but the level of opposition doesn't look any tougher.

Former course winner Typical Woman might out run their odds and John and Thady Gosden's Star Of Light looks to be best of the rest.

ORCHARD KEEPER (WIN)

17:20 NEWBURY

Golden Handshake makes his handicap debut after a very impressive maiden victory at Lingfield. A five-length success in which he was dominant and although this looks a tougher test he seems to have plenty of potential and could go on to compete at a much higher level.

Odin Legacy and Sourdough look the most likely to follow the selection home.

GOLDEN HANDSHAKE (WIN)

18:17 DOWN ROYAL

A race of this nature is always tough to call but Summer Is Tomorrow has showed enough in their first two starts to suggest another solid effort should be on the cards.

Kensington Lane will appreciate her weight for sex allowance and showed promise at the Curragh just three weeks ago.

Manifest Destiny, Jordi Bear and Clarity Of Thought should also make any punters' shortlist.

SUMMER IS TOMORROW (E/W)

18:45 PONTEFRACT

There was a few questions asked about the ride on Mudamer when last seen at Haydock. Connections are likely to be aiming to allay those concerns with a stronger performance here as the six-year-old should be able to pick up some prize money.

Recent winner Walsingham will play a major part as will top-weight Theme Park who's a former course and distance victor.

MUDAMER (E/W)

19:00 NEWMARKET

Gold Star Hero has had excuses for his recent performances but dropping into this grade should be a positive. With a top jockey booked for the ride he can go closer this evening.

Course and distance winner Rocking Ends was well supported last week and connections are hoping to see him finish closer here. One to keep an eye on.

GOLD STAR HERO (E/W)

20:20 HAMILTON

Monks Dream has produced their best form on the all-weather and is yet to claim a win on turf. That being said their best turf effort came here at Hamilton when finishing 1 and 1/4 lengths behind the winner in a higher grade of race. On a solid mark and this could be the race in which they can convert their all-weather form to this surface.

Classy Al and Parrisiac were winners last time out and should go close to making it two wins in a row.

MONKS DREAM (WIN)

20:25 PONTEFRACT

Kitsune Power was a close second when last seen competing over this course and distance. Below their last winning mark, down to Class 5 and with David Allan booked for the ride he's got plenty in his favour.

Paper Doll filled the runners up spot when last out and won't be far again.

KITSUNE POWER (WIN)

20:30 DOWN ROYAL

Bear Creek seems to have finally learned what he's supposed to be doing after a much improved third placed effort when last seen. The extra distance should be a huge positive for the maiden who looks set to take his first career success.

Trubshaw also finished third last time out and seems an obvious threat.

Ranting And Raven and Highway Sixty One could finish in the frame.
