TODAYS TIPS (FRIDAY)

Sam King hopes to end the working week on a high as he tackles Friday's action with his best two bets. 16:45 NEWBURY

The Charlie Clover-trained juvenile looks to hold outstanding claims in the Listed Sequoia Hair & Spirit St Hugh's Stakes. An excellent runner-up to subsequent Group 1 Railway Stakes scorer True Love in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot, Flowerhead had excused when dropped to Group 3 company for the Princess Margaret Stakes at the same venue last time out. Having raced keenly in the early stages, it's no surprise she dropped away late on over six furlongs and now dropped back to the bare minimum, she should have every chance of regaining the winning thread for the Amo Racing team. The main threat could come from Entailed, who took a big leap forward to land a Sandown maiden second time out. 

FLOWERHEAD (WIN)

17:15 NEWMARKET 

Monastry has run well on both outings to date thus far, finishing a pleasing fourth at Haydock on debut from off the pace before filling the same position in a decent-looking novice event at Yarmouth last time out. The winner at Yarmouth was a subsequent scorer coming into that contest and looked to benefit from being prominently positioned, while in contrast, Monastry was once again doing his best work late on. This stiff seven furlongs should be right up his street and with further progress on the cards, he looks poised to open his account at the chief expense of the filly Emerald Coast, who made a pleasing debut when third at Chester.
