TODAYS TIPS (MONDAY)

Matt Polley hopes to kick-start the week with some winners as he heads to Pontefract to preview Monday's action. 14.33. PONTEFRACT 

With the Tim Easterby yard in such good form, it would be foolish to write off the chances of Hyperfocus and Canaria Sun. Both look like they have question marks over them, but could outrun their odds.

A chance is taken with Digital. A string of moderate efforts have seen him become well handicapped, and there was more than a glimmer of hope on his latest soft ground start.

Irish Nectar looks to have a big chance, and he’s handicapped to go close, but six furlongs on this track on soft ground may just stretch him.

Fine Interview and Trilby will be at home on the ground, however, Thunder Blue has come alive lately.

He’s still reasonably weighted, and will be suited to the set up of this race.
