Alan Morris heads to Epsom this Thursday as he picks out two runners to back from this evening's card. 19:35 EPSOM
Secret Beach looked ahead of the handicapper when winning at York six days ago and escapes a penalty here and has a course 2nd to boot. However he does look very short for a horse generally held up and around an idiosyncratic track the rider is new to and having had only one outside ride so far. Conversely Ben Brookhouse also saddles last year’s winning front-runner Gordon Grey under the experienced Brodie Hampson and looks early each-way value. The 5yo recently won over hurdles to prove well-being and should give it a good go. Buxted Too could outrun large odds for the in-form Ian Williams’ yard.

This does not look a great Class 4 handicap with the warm favourite Crimson Spirit only winning at Brighton by a neck last time out with Revolutionise re-opposing here. Future Cutlet hasn’t been beaten far since coming over from Ireland and though he will get a mile he has solid 7f form from last season and looks good value if ridden more prominently here.
