Alan Morris gives his weekly best bets as he previews Thursday's action. 17:45 SANDOWN
Warning Sign has shown good form for his owner-rider David Dunsdon over 7-12f including a win at Sandown last time out over 1m and this trip is well within range. Hopefully the win will cure some seconditis. No-one expected Inquisition to lose at 4-7 last time under an apprentice and despite two good wins at a low grade before that the 3yo filly may not be a certainty here, having worn a red hood in the past , taking keen holds and hanging away a golden opportunity last time.
WARNING SIGN (WIN) 18:30 CHEPSTOW
Great Acclaim was targeted at the disproportionate prizemoney in the Racing League last year with great success and he’s back again. The 4yo has always shown plenty of pace when winning over a mile and travelled smoothly to win a 7f Glorious Goodwood handicap last week that was arguably more competitive despite the lower grade. With form over Chepstow’s straight undulating track the eight day gap should be enough to help him win with a penalty.
Mister Bluebird beat El Bodon in a 7f Racing League handicap at Yarmouth two weeks ago but on soft ground and the drying unique Chepstow track poses a different test.
