Night Tara got up late to win at Chelmsford two runs ago and nearly did the same last Saturday under an inexperienced apprentice despite racing wide at times. Form and breeding suggest the longer trip and different track here should see the improving 3yo exploit her mark of only 59 under Callum Shepherd. This will be a different task to Bay Dream Believer’s recent wins with little all-weather form in the locker. Opera Wave is finding her feet but it’s unclear what she achieved in a small field at Newmarket last time. Mystical Maria should confirm form with Princess Niyla from Redcar and move forward now, she rates a good each-way alternative with some bookmakers offering 3rd place markets here.

James Owen is undoubtedly doing a good job revitalising jaded horses but they are often overbet and can help shape each-way alternatives and Sahana may just sneak into that category on early prices. Even in her 1m win Sahana has shaped as if 7f may suit better, showing plenty of pace. Both her and Little Keilee have average draws here and the keen-going favourite may have to do too much early and be vulnerable very late on.
