Alan Morris heads to Bath and Newcastle for his best bets of the day this Thursday.

Croeso Cymraeg is one of my favourite horses and families and looks to be a good each-way shot with some bookmakers paying on four places. The 11 y.o is back down in class with a course and distance win in his locker. The horse lobs along and takes some kidding but has won for Christian Howarth. Magic Star is likely to improve for the step up in trip on handicap debut on breeding and the stable and could romp home but may end up very short and give further each-way scope for Concert Party to progress and prove she is not reliant on heavy ground.

The Green Man was put up in The Hotlist in early September and after a stable move to Phil Kirby he came good on his second run for the yard in impressive style over Course and Distance last week. Backed in from 9-1 to 7-2, he won easily and a 5lb penalty should not stop the 6yo gelding who had tumbled in the weights and remains in the class 6 grade.
Catherine Chroi is one to keep an eye on back with the Jardine yard that she was most successful for, she has dropped a long way in the handicap too in her Irish runs this year.
