TODAYS TIPS (THURSDAY)

Alan Morris gives his best bets of the day this Thursday with selections from Stratford and Chelmsford.

14:47 STRATFORD

Be Aware is expected to settle down and progress over fences this season but looks a little short on chasing and seasonal debut around a sharp track like Stratford. Overnight Grandeur D’Arme is a good each-way price to take on the favourite with hopefully the full eight turning up. The Alan King yard is in very good form and the 9yo won on seasonal debut over fences last season as well as a course chase win on his cv. He had some tough tests as his form faltered in the Spring but has some big Autumn entries and should be ready to strike.

GRANDEUR D’ARME (E/W)

17:15 CHELMSFORD

Far Too Fizzy made a respectable debut over 5f and hasn’t been suited by 7f the last twice but has shown just enough to be of interest here over 6f and a lowly mark of 51. The 2yo colt is out of the classy and speedy multiple all-weather winner Fizzy Feet and a chance is taken in a moderate and winnable race from a good draw.
