Robusto has faced some stiff tasks racing prominently over further and is worth a try over 1m4f in a weaker race than he normally contests against some fancied horses he holds a fitness and course form advantage over. The promising Warren Fentiman still claims 5lb in this apprentice race and pipped Robusto over 1m6f here in January. Destinado is running well and can also give the fancied William Walton and King’s Scholar something to think about on their return.

ROBUSTO (E/W) 16.00 REDCAR

Jamie’s Choice came very close two runs ago on reappearance and can be forgiven a run in a better race from a bad draw last time. With good course and distance form and Luke Morris taking over the 5yo mare can go very close here. Sergeant Mayer is running well and stays 6f well so will need a good pace here to aim at. Let’s Go Hugo is also respected.
