TODAYS TIPS (THURSDAY)

Alan Morris’s Thursday selections come from Exeter and Southwell.

13:00 EXETER

Hollygrove Cha Cha is favourite here after a successful novice hurdle campaign and a respectable chase debut. She warmed to the task in a good-looking novice chase but they finished in a bunch and the other protagonists haven’t gone on as expected. There is a chance here that Bluey’s fluent jumping could put the others under pressure here and at the likely prices looks the value here.

13:22 SOUTHWELL

Von Krolock should progress further now he’s up and running for his new yard and with a good amateur but stall 12 is an issue here. Cable Bay has two solid runs now and is only two pounds higher for a course and distance win. With a better draw and another go-to amateur here the 4yo is initially an each-way chance overnight but may shorten in time. Strobelight could make the breakthrough down in trip but will need a good break from a tricky draw and Sir Maxi is one to keep an eye on for another day given his stall today.
