TODAYS TIPS (THURSDAY)

Alan Morris takes in action from Ffos Las and Chelmsford as he aims for some winners this Thursday. 14.40 FFOS LAS

Itseemslikeit looks a worthy favourite with form on heavy ground and rather importantly around Ffos Las. The 6yo won well on chase debut and a 7lb rise looks fair but he could end up very short for a 3m chase on heavy and he’s currently making Hunter Legend a viable each-way alternative. Venetia Williams’ charge is a multiple chase winner and has been highly tried this season before a more competitive run last time. Back on softer ground and down in class, Hunter Legend looks a worthy alternative.

Roman Emperor is an infrequent winner and shouldn’t be imperious, he has been running well for Donagh Murphy but may need a fast pace to be effective here over 6f. The less-exposed Analytical Engine was poorly drawn at this track two runs ago but ran well at Kempton last time and the stall number is more favourable and the result looks computable here.
