TODAYS TIPS (THURSDAY)

Alan Morris previews two races this Thursday as he hunts for winners to boost our betting balance.

14.45 HAYDOCK

Wal Buck’s won well recently at Kelso and with the yard in better form and a Haydock win under his belt he looks ready to progress further here in a weak race for the grade. A Midlands Grand National entry hints at stable expectations as well. Ki Woo could improve for the better ground and also has potential for improvement.

WAL BUCK’S (WIN)

16.00 LINGFIELD

Montu is out quickly to confirm the promise of his recent second, running on over 9 1/2f at Wolverhampton after being settled in from a wide draw and is 2lb well-in here. There is plenty of stamina in the family to suggest 10f and further will suit and we hope there’s enough pace here. Early season 3yo handicaps are ripe for sudden improvers after three 2yo runs and Bradbury looks the potential danger here as the least exposed of the opposition.

MONTU (WIN)
