The Woollacott and Newman combination do well with their crossovers from the pointing scene and Noble Blue looks to have scope to improve further over hurdles after two promising seconds recently. The 8yo gelding had won six of her seven points prior to that and a mark of 104 looks to underestimate him. Saint Polo showed his first form last time with a second at Sedgefield and steps up further in distance here to provide the main threat. Gasmani’s connections have been patient and fences may ultimately eke out some improvement.

City Of Dreams will be popular after a better run on handicap debut, fading late on over slightly further but will need to take to Southwell from stall nine and may be overbet by his syndicate and related owners. Violet Goldsmith amongst others have scope for improvement but Electrocution has been running on well over 7f against solid yardsticks for the grade and the mile should suit after running on from a bad draw at Chelmsford City last time. With some paying out on four places he looks a solid early each-way bet here.
