A very competitive looking novice stakes. Debut winners Touleen and Zanthos line up here with Zanthos expected to take all the beating after a serious performance at Newmarket, looks high quality and looks tailor made for the Fillies Mile (Group 1) at the back end of the season. Lady Roisia is chucked into a deep contest for her debut but is out of an Oaks winner, bred to be pretty smart and could run into a place.

Monoceros is likely to be all the rage here being out of an oaks winner and related to the talented Telecaster, made a smart impression on debut when travelling through the field smoothly and staying on strongly through the line. The eye is drawn to debutant Zabeel Palace who is a smartly bred Colt by Palace Pier out of a group two winner, in receipt of 7lbs from Monoceros due to the winners penalty, that may be enough to swing things in Zabeel Palaces favour.

Debutant Angelic Rascal is a daughter of Dark Angel which gives her a chance of handling the likely heavy conditions at Ffos Las, she holds a sales race entry so she should be well educated if that will be her target after this. Ice Cube went to York Ebor meeting to make his debut, he was badly hampered leaving the stalls and quickly got outpaced, plugged on but was never able to land any sort of a blow, the much softer conditions should help him with him being by Phoenix Of Spain and could be a live each way contender in a race that looks fairly weak on paper.
