Red Letter was beaten less than three lengths when seventh of ten in the 1000 Guineas and as such was sent off a hot favourite in a Listed race when last seen, however could only manage a close-up second. It wouldn’t take much improvement to see her go one better today, however she looks likely to go off a short price again so preference is for Fiery Lucy who has made the frame in seven from ten including three seconds in Group 3 races and ran a cracker for fourth at 25/1 in the Juvenile Fillies Turf at last years’ Breeders Cup. Unexposed over a mile, she looks a solid each way option. Last time out winner Orchidaceae completes the shortlist.

Most of these arrive here with a bit of a point to prove so this looks likely to be a battle between Stardancer and Daring Legend. The former ran well over this trip last time out and looks capable of improvement so isn’t passed over lightly, however preference is for the latter who is a prior course and distance winner who arrives here in top form having made the frame in his last five. Only beaten a neck last time out, he is partnered with up and coming 5lbs claimer Mason Paetel and that claim could make all the difference today.
