TODAYS TIPS (WEDNESDAY)

Dean Kilbryde heads to Goodwood and Listowel for his best bets for Wednesday. See who he's siding with with his two tips. 15:35 GOODWOOD

Ancient Wisdom was beaten just a half-length by Al Aasy over todays’ trip in a Group 3 race at Sandown in April and, having won a Group 1 and two Group 3s over varying distances is the class act in the race. He’s also versatile with regards to ground having won on everything from good-to-firm through to heavy so looks a worthy favourite now dropping in grade.

That said, Saddadd impressed when winning in soft ground when last seen and, also proven over this trip, could give the favourite plenty to think about especially given the weight-for-age allowance. Today sees a step up in grade but his recent form and potential to keep on improving just about swings the vote in his direction.

Of the remainder, Starzintheireyes should relish the ground and could prove dangerous if fully wound up on first run in eleven months, with Bolster also more than capable on a going day.

SADDADD (WIN)

16:23 LISTOWEL

After an early blunder on debut, You Oughta Know has actually taken well to the larger obstacles, following up a couple of placed efforts with a wide margin victory ay Wexford when last seen, making all and travelling well before powering away to win with ease. If seeing out this longer trip he should be involved in the finish.

Joseph O’Brien won this race in 2021 and 2022 and runs San Salvador who shouldn’t be underestimated, yet for our selection we turn to Shecouldbeanything who notched a four-timer starting at this meeting last year and has solid form to her name, finishing third in the Mares Chase at Cheltenham in March and ran an encouraging race for third in the Grade 3 Galway Plate when last seen in July. The cheekpieces worn last time out are retained and a bold bid looks assured.
