TODAYS TIPS (WEDNESDAY)

Dean Kilbryde looks ahead to the best of Wednesday's action and picks out a pair of runners not to ignore at Carlisle and Worcester. 15:45 CARLISLE

Anshoda won a Group 3 over this trip at Goodwood last season and could prove dangerous now dropping back from a mile, while Saqqara Sands is yet to finish outside the top two in four career runs to date, running well for second in a Listed contest on reappearance earlier this month, however preference is for Verse Of Love who won by five lengths on good-to-soft ground at Newmarket on debut and after finding a Group 3 too hot to handle on seasonal reappearance (where she looked in desperate need of the run) returned to winning ways with a commanding victory at Yarmouth last month, a race where three of her five rivals won next time out. With the promise of plenty more to come, she gets the vote.

VERSE OF LOVE (WIN)

17:05 WORCESTER

Ikigai Star made all over a similar trip at Huntingdon in May and that form has been franked in no uncertain terms with the runner up going unbeaten in two since, the third notching a hat-trick of wins and the fourth also winning two of her next three. Upped just 3lbs she looks capable of following up here, perhaps at the main expense of My Bobby’s Lass who was an eye-catching winner over course and distance when last seen, powering clear after the last to win going away. At 28/1 it was perhaps an unexpected victory and while a follow up isn’t out of the question it will be tougher from a 6lbs higher mark.
