TV TIPS (SATURDAY)

With the 2,000 Guineas taking centre stage plus action from Thirsk and Goodwood we preview all six live ITV races on Saturday. 13:45 NEWMARKET

If you're looking for a horse with solid course form then look no further than Two Tribes. He went well at this meeting last year when returning from a sizable absence and can do so again.

Obvious threats come in the form of former course and distance winners More Thunder and Woodhay Wonder as is the consistent Aramram.

TWO TRIBES (E/W)

14:00 GOODWOOD

Of the more fancied runners Crimson Advocate can go one better than her close defeat on the all-weather recently. She hails from a top yard and shouldn't be far away however at the bottom of the racecard Sea To Sky looks an interesting contender. She placed in a listed contest last time out and she'll appreciate this longer trip and firmer ground. Ralph Beckett's charge looks markedly overpriced at her current double figure odds.

It's hard to discredit either of the three last time out winners Arabian Light, Hand Of God and Approval who should all be on any punters shortlist however at a price, the Charles Hills trained Galeron could spring a shock.

Should come on for his surprising fifth in the Lincoln handicap and this former Australian raider will appreciate the better ground.

GALERON (E/W)

14:35 THIRSK

Hi Royal makes his handicap debut having competed at the highest level throughout last season. Now taking a huge drop down in grade he could return to the winners enclosure. What makes the five-year-old more interesting is that his record with jockey Kevin Stott reads as one win and one place. Has a credible each-way chance.

Our Havana and Mr King are possible options for horses that are currently offering bigger prices.

As only a few horses to have had a race already this year then Washington Height's fitness edge might be a telling factor as the in-form Kevin Ryan yard looks to add to their tally.

The Robert Cowell trained duo of Democracy Dilemma and last years race winner Seven Questions demand upmost respect and at an each way price former course and distance winner Twilight Calls has a chance.

Despite winning the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes the form of that performance could be overturned with Ballydoyle's Expanded likely to finish ahead of the Godolphin runner this time around. That being said the pair don't look the most likely victors with stronger claims to be made for Field Of Gold and Ruling Court.

Of the two it's the Gosden horse that gets the nod as he aims to claim another Newmarket victory.

Irish raiders Green Impact and Scorthy Champ are each-way alternatives to the selection.
