BEST OF THE REST (SATURDAY)

Away from Saturday's ITV Racing our man Rory Paddock hunts down his best bets to kick start the weekend.

16:04 NEWCASTLE

Former course and distance victor Fifty Sent hasn't been at his best in two all-weather performances of late but he did show signs of promise on turf this past summer. With previous winning experience under today's conditions, the yard in decent form and a solid jockey booking he's taken as a solid each-way bet, especially off such a low mark.

FIFTY SENT (E/W)

17:35 NEWCASTLE The William Haggas trained Brewing wasn't far behind when fifth in a better race last time out. He's not dropped to this grade since 2023 and should appreciate this lower level of opponents. Now back to his last winning mark he's the one to beat.

Society Man finished ahead of Brewing in their recent meeting but I'm hoping the older of the two can reverse that form.

Of the rest Daring Legend can build on his fourth placed run and finish in the mix.

BREWING (WIN)

18:20 WOLVERHAMPTON

At the age of nine-years-old it's a fair assessment to make that Revolutionise isn't at his peak but he's certainly intriguing here at Wolverhampton. In his last two starts at the Midlands venue he finished as the runner-up. Both of those races were in a higher grade and both came with him carrying more weight. He clearly acts well at this course, has a very accomplished jockey in the saddle and has a kind draw in stall three. Worth an each-way bet in what looks a wide open race.

REVOLUTIONISE (E/W)

19:20 WOLVERHAMPTON

The father and daughter duo of Phil and Grace McEntee have teamed up to success plenty of times before and they could do so again with Global Effort. Third in his last three starts he's now on a likable mark and although he's only got two career victories to his name, both came at Wolverhampton. The yard have had two winners already this week and they can find another here.
