Alan Morris heads to Pontefract and 'Flat HQ' for his best bets this Thursday.

Jake Dickson has been going well in Apprentice Handicaps and has struck up a good relationship with Albegone in recent runs, finishing 1st and 2nd before a luckless run last time.

Jake can still claim 3lb here and this 0-60 looks a good opportunity against some disappointing types. Course and distance winner Jojo Rabbit looks the main danger if you ignore his last run at Leicester.

ALBEGONE (WIN) 13:50 NEWMARKET

The ultra-consistent Woohoo looks to have a great each-way chance back against her own sex, back down in trip at a course that can suit prominent racers. She hasn’t quite been seeing out 7f recently  but still running admirably well. It is slightly surprising to see regular pilot Lauren Young on a higher-priced entry for the yard but David Egan has a good record for Jim Goldie in recent years. The lightly-raced Irish entry Bear On The Run is a warm order and could easily be beyond this grade, having a Group Three entry on the weekend.
