BEST OF THE REST (SATURDAY)

Rory Paddock looks at Saturday's racing away from the ITV cameras as he heads to Thirsk, Bangor-on-Dee, Doncaster and Uttoxeter. 13:45 BANGOR-ON-DEE

Got Grey has been tested in much better company than this of late and should find this level an easier ask. The race is still competitive, but the former course and distance winner can make a return to the winner's enclosure.

GOT GREY (WIN)

14:10 THIRSK

As the only former course and distance winner Alligator Alley deserves a ton of respect, and a drop back down to Class 4 company should also be of huge benefit. Wasn't far behind when last seen, and with the booking of Paul Mulrennan an eye-catching appointment, everything points to a solid showing.

ALLIGATOR ALLEY (E/W)

14:45 THIRSK

Burning Cash has been disappointing in both runs so far this year, but he could turn things around. Now back at this track. Off a solid mark and will appreciate the firmer ground, one to consider for each-way purposes.

BURNING CASH (E/W)

17:40 THIRSK

Produced a demolition job at Leicester when winning last time out. It seemed like a drop to six furlongs was to Waistcoats liking and with only 3lbs more weight to carry this time around has a chance of making it back-to-back victories.

WAISTCOAT (E/W)

19:01 UTTOXETER

Farnoge was last seen over hurdles when competing in a listed contest, so now back over the smaller obstacles in handicap company could be the key to seeing the seven-year-old claiming another course success.

FARNOGE (WIN)

19:48 DONCASTER

Tawasol finally shook off their maiden tag when last seen at Brighton just 18 days ago and now making their handicap debut can claim another success in what looks a pretty competitive affair.
