Toby Darby heads to Australia with Group 1 action from Moone Valley and Randwick. 6:30 RANDWICK - SPRING CHAMPION STAKES

Shangri La Boy was not for catching in a Group 3 two weeks back and sets the standard here with not the most impressive field in behind. One of his strongest challengers will be Attica, who I think will be suited to this big field and strong pace, he will be closing late on the favourite. His draw is not ideal, but I can’t see him trying to make the front so hopefully he will be able to slot in nicely from a wide gate.

ATTICA (WIN) 7:40 MOONEE VALLEY - COX PLATE

The superstar Mare Via Sistina heads the market, which is no surprise after her demolition in this race last year, but she doesn’t come here quite in the same form so I would like to take her on. Treasurethemoment looked like the ‘next’ Via Sistina but had a niggle not long ago and has been beaten the last twice.

Aeliana has been behind Via Sistina on a couple of occasions this season but with the price differential and the possibility of an each way bet I think she rates a much better bet in this field compared to win only on Via Sistina.
