Toby Darby looks to Flemington in Australia as he previews two Group 1 races in the early hours of Saturday morning. 04:50 FLEMINGTON The Champions Sprint sees new sensation Tentyris take on some of the star older sprinters. This will be a test for him but it would be no surprise were he to overcome it. Joliestar was not far behind Ka Ying Rising in The Everest, being a Mare she doesn’t have to give as much weight away and I think she is the one to be with in this contest. Caballus won well last week and turns out here quickly again, he has something to find on form but aside from the market principles it’s not the deepest race.

There will be no hanging around in this race with Pride Of Jenni likely to set her customary electric pace. They gave her too much rope last time and she duly punished them. This is a deeper race however and more comparable to the King Charles where Ceolwulf beat Mr Brightside with Jenni some way back. I expect the placings to remain the same in this race with Ceolwulf just edging out Mr Brightside. Lake Forest was the subject of plenty post race comments after his ‘poor ride’ in The Everest, usual rider Tom Marquand gets back onboard, it will be interesting to see how he gets on.
