SUNDAY SELECTIONS

Kieran McHugh previews the best of Sunday’s racing as he tracks down two tips not to ignore.

16:40- SOUTHWELL

Bowerchalke won at at Chelmsford and was unlucky at Nottingham. If unaffected by fluffing her lines at Goodwood, she could improve yet. Likealot may have been behind Bowerchalke on her last start, but Ralph Beckett’s filly was giving away weight that day and she should be better off on level weights. Quebella wasn’t far away in arguably, a better race than this, at Goodwood and she gave away loads of weight at Windsor. She should have the measure of these.

QUEBELLA (WIN)

17:15 SOUTHWELL

Alibey improved when upped to a mile and four furlongs and there’s every chance that Tom Marquand’s mount can improve again today. Miss Justice has a hat-trick of silver medals, albeit against potentially better rivals than she faces today. She does have to carry a hefty weight for that fact, but she might just be good enough to overcome that. Lalique has finished both of her races off strongly and she was up against a handy sort last time. Again, she’s another that can improve even further and if she doesn’t leave it too late, she could taste victory again.

LALIQUE (WIN)
