Alan Morris gives his weekly rundown of last weeks action as he picks out two horses who you need to keep a close eye on.

LAURENS DREAM  (M and D EASTERBY)

Laurens Dream has returned to form in her last three runs in competitive 6f handicaps for the grade, running on as befits a 7f winner. The 3yo filly is down to a mark of 58 and with winning Newcastle form should be able to be back in the winner’s enclosure soon. With form on soft and heavy as well as Southwell, there should be plenty of options over 6 and 7f this Autumn.

J STREET (I FURTADO)

The tranche of horses moved from Craig Lidster to Ivan Furtado earlier this year have not set the world alight but the Furtado stable is beginning to show better form and J Street showed just enough on belated seasonal debut to think the 3yo filly had trained on and could do something at a rewarding price over 5f this backend. She took a keen hold and pulled her way to the front and was then seemingly intimidated from hugging the stands side rail. Those efforts told late on and she came home in her own time.
