Royal Fixation won the Group 2 Lowther Stakes over track and trip last season and although was a shade disappointing in a Listed race on return this season, that run should have blown away any cobwebs and better can be expected here with a first-time tongue-tie and cheekpieces to aid her cause.

Spicy Marg ran a cracker to get within a head of Venetian Sun in the Commonwealth Cup last month and as such heads the early markets. She’s a likeable filly who should give another good account, although has failed to back up good runs before.

Florida of Bermuda can be a little inconsistent however is a prior course and distance winner and has made the frame on numerous occasions in Group 1 company so has the class to go well if arriving on a good day.

Jeroboam Machin won the Grade 2 Future Stars bumper at the Dublin Racing Festival in 2024 and was expected to go on to big things, however injury meant she missed Cheltenham and the whole of 2025, and hasn’t looked quite the same in her two runs since return. It’s too soon to be writing her off and this step up in trip looks a positive in what looks a winnable race.

The biggest danger looks to be Sound Judgement who won over three miles in point-to-points and although was a beaten favourite at Downpatrick when last seen she was staying on in the closing stages and is another who should relish the extra distance today.
