Dean Kilbryde returns with his weekly Friday selections with runners from Hamilton and Newbury below. 16:10 NEWBURY
C Appleby & W Buick won this race last year with Wise Approach and return this year with Nabati, who was a comfortable winner at Yarmouth on debut at the beginning of the month, making smooth headway when asked and winning by just over a length. Already proven at the trip and with the team in excellent recent form, he’s hard to overlook.
The biggest challenger looks to be Social Symbol, who ran on strongly for fourth in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes when last seen and with the extra furlong here expected to suit warrants plenty of respect.
Another to consider is Arapaho Gold, who won over five furlongs at Thirsk on debut and followed up with a convincing success when upped to six furlongs last time out, clearing away to win by almost four lengths and being able to be eased down close home. This is tougher but he’s shown enough to think he could get involved.

John Gosden won the race LY and runs Superior Choice who arrives here looking for her third win in a row. She was last seen making all to record a cosy success over a subsequent winner at Newmarket last month and on that evidence should have no problems with the extra furlong she encounters today.
Mr Colonel drops back into calmer waters having been well beaten in the Group 3 Chester Vase and Group 2 Queens Vase in recent outings. A winner over ten furlongs at Redcar prior to that, he’s yet to totally convince over a trip this far so the bigger danger could prove to be Prizeland who won by eight lengths at Lingfield on penultimate run and followed up with a solid second at Listed level last time out.
