TODAY'S TIPS (MONDAY)

Matt Polley kicks off the week with selections from Yorkshire as he heads to Pontefract for his best bets. 14:53 PONTEFRACT 

A proper test for a two year old over a mile here on soft ground. One runner here who shouldn’t have any issues is the filly Silverella, who won here last time. She’s improving, but will need to take another step forward today.

King High is the pick. He already has a fairly lofty mark, and looks to have a touch of class about him. The Irish raider Mary Doll could follow him home.

KING HIGH (WIN)

15:53 PONTEFRACT 

There shouldn’t be much between Moon Over Miami and Maxident based on their Goodwood run, but the feeling is that Maxident will confirm that form again here because this course should suit the dour stayer even better.

A chance is taken with Call My Bluff. Consistency isn’t his strong point, but on his day if he gets into a decent rhythm, he could make a lot of these pull out all the stops. He’s also won here on his only previous visit.
