A few of these have shown their best already this year in lower grades and are looking a little exposed at the back end of the season. Royal Bodyguard should be in the mix but Wild Dahlia looks to have more potential to progress beyond this grade and the early favourite. The 3yo filly can be forgiven a disappointment on softish going over further around Hamilton from a wide draw and position. The William Haggas yard is in good form and Wild Dahlia should blossom here.

Brighton View is another progressive horse looking to bounce back from a slightly disappointing run but it was a swift turnaround in a small field at Haydock last time and the longer trip here should play to his strengths. The 3yo colt looks a credible each-way alternative to the likely warm favourite Devil’s Peak who has further potential but only one win alongside a long list of placed efforts.
