Sam King returns with his best bets for Tuesday's action as he pinpoints a pair of runners worth backing. 13:53 REDCAR

The recent gelding operation can see Blake's Monarch strike at the fourth time of asking. He showed some classy form to finish tenth in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot having previously filled the runner-up spot at Wolverhampton. Dropping back to five furlongs here looks to be a good move and he can make the 4lb he receives from likely main market rival Mugheer count, especially with the consideration of both a first-time tongue tie and wind-op.

Flick Of An Eye made an eye-catching debut and now looks well-poised to get off the mark second time out. Trained by the in-form combination of Simon and Ed Crisford, he posted a useful figure first time out having kept on steadily from off the pace to finish a creditable third at Newbury. That looked like a useful juvenile contest and with experience now in the bag, he ought to have every chance of striking. Richard Spencer's newcomer Bad Dreams could be the main threat, although fellow newcomer If You Like also deserves a mention.
