Our Son Oscar is speedily bred and looks a capable option to hit the frame if knowing enough on debut but Chief Minster is one worth giving another chance too, weakened on debut but holds some smart entries in the autumn months suggesting this son of Mattmu has shown more at home for a team who often improve from run to run. 

CHIEF MINSTER (E/W) 19:10 YARMOUTH

Liberate holds the form angle here with a fourth and third, doesn't look like a maiden winner waiting to happen but this looks more than a winnable. The eye is drawn to the unraced Time Thief, out of a classy mare this gelded son of Time Test looks to have found a golden opportunity here if he knows his job.

On paper this looks a moderate race with only two of the fourteen runners winning recently, and both those Glen Breeze and Unfamiliar have since flopped which leaves this race wide open to an improver. The eye is drawn to Dubai Opulence, on pedigree he should be operating at a much higher rating than 51 and with Billy Lee taking over the reigns this time he could be one to take seriously.

Chicago Moon got things right last time and looked but a 9lb rise looks harsh and will take another step forward, same can be said about Private Larry who has to land this after an 11lb rise, smart run over hurdles last time but again this will take something extra. Queen Of Astolat looked a stayer in the making and showed that on her final start for Charlie Fellowes when finishing third and putting in her best performance so far, this daughter of Camelot should continue to omprove over these trips and should go close on debut for her new yard.
