Southbank was a convincing winner last time, but his come from behind run style may not be easy to pull off here. Lequinto is the type to run well in a race like this, however a chance is taken with the inconsistent but undeniably well handicapped Kodi Red. If he turns up in the mood, he could win this readily.

in a race that seemingly lacks any strength in depth, this looks a great opportunity for Silent City to get off the mark.

She was green on debut at Goodwood, but that should have brought her forward plenty, and it’s easy to imagine De Sousa keeping it simple, either making all or ridden handily to avoid traffic. 

The exposed Gennadius should follow her home.
